Washing Instructions (Or How Not to Ruin Your Gear)

Because replacing a favourite shirt is worse
than a false summit. To keep your gear looking good longer than your knees feel on a descent, follow the protocol:

The Routine:

• Cold Water Only: Hot water is for overachievers. We don't do that here.
• Flip It: Turn inside out before washing to protect that graphic you're going to wear until it physically falls apart.
• Gentle Cycle: Use a mild detergent. This garment-dyed cotton is chill keep it that way.
• First Wash Warning: It might bleed a little at first. Separate it from your fancy stuff or that one white shirt you accidentally bought.

Drying & Maintenance:

• Go Low: Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Air-drying equals more time for snacks and less chance of shrinkage.
• Remove Promptly: Take it out as soon as it's dry to avoid wrinkles. We don't do "ironing" unless it’s absolutely necessary.
• The "Don'ts": Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, and fabric softeners. They fade colors and ruin the soft texture we worked so hard to get.
• The Ironing Rule: If you must, iron inside out. Never iron directly on the design unless you enjoy ruining your mood at Mile 8.

Proper care preserves your shirt’s look and feel over time, kind of like how proper stretching would preserve your body.
But let's be honest, neither of us is doing that.

Logistics: Steady, Not Sprinting

The $85 Rule: We reward those who go all-in. Orders over $85 qualify for complimentary shipping to your basecamp.

Our Pace: We move with purpose, but never at a sprint. Orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Once our logistics partners take over, expect your gear in 3–7 business days. Track it obsessively or forget it completely, no judgment here.

Disclaimer: Carriers have bad days and mail trucks break down. We can’t control the global supply chain any more than we can control how many false summits you hit on the trail.

The U-Turn Policy

We aren't a faceless retail giant; we’re a Society. If your gear arrives damaged, defective, or off-trail, we’ll fix it. No drama, no unnecessary hurdles.

The Protocol:

• Damaged or Defective? Full refund or immediate replacement. That’s our standard.
• The Window: You have 30 days from delivery to let us know.
• The Condition: Items must be "Trail-Fresh" (unwashed/unworn). If it smells like a campfire or looks like it's seen a summit, it stays with you.
• Human Support: Email mile8society@gmail.com. You’ll talk to a person, not a bot, and we’ll handle it faster than we hike.

We don't enjoy paperwork any more than we enjoy steep inclines, we'll keep it fair so everyone can get back to hiking.
